Join with Amnesty International to help release torture victim Adrián Vásquez
Adrián Vásquez has spent almost three years in prison in Mexico. In 2012, police picked him up and claimed he was a local drug lord. They tortured him to the point of near-death, breaking some of his ribs, injuring his bladder and pouring water through his nose and filling his lungs. An official doctor saw him but only documented minor recent injuries which he concluded would heal within 15 days. Soon after Adrián collapsed and was rushed to hospital for emergency, for life-saving surgery.
In April 2015, after years of campaigning by Adrián’s family, three of the policemen who Adrián identified as his torturers were finally charged. But today Adrián remains in prison.

You can join with Amnesty International to ask for Adrián’s release.
“In compliance with national and international human rights standards, I ask you to exclude all evidence obtained under torture and other human rights violations, drop the charges against Adrián Vasquez and release him immediately.
